NOTICE OF PUBLIC LOCAL INQUIRY
Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981
Notice is hereby given that an Inspector will be appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to determine The Borough Council of Gateshead (Footpath 100 Blaydon) Definitive Map Modification Order 2010 and will attend at Civic Centre, Regent Street, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, NE8 1HH On 3 June 2025 at 10.00am to hold a public local inquiry into the Order.
The effect of the Order, if confirmed without modifications, will be to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding to them the footpath from Bute Road North adjacent to the entrance into the allotment gardens, running beside the North View bungalows for approximately 16 metres in a southerly direction, at a width of 2 metres, following the footpath between the houses and the gardens for approximately 25 metres in a southerly direction, and then for approximately 95 metres in a southwesterly direction, at a width of 1.8 metres, continuing for approximately 12 metres in a south-easterly direction, at a width of 2 metres to join North View.
