EDUCATION AGED 19-24

Wakefield Council would welcome any feedback from young people aged 16-18 and their parents/ carers and continuing learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities aged 19-24 and their parents/carers on its proposed Post 16 Transport Policy for 2025/2026.

The consultation period is between Monday 28 April 2025 and Friday 9 May 2025.

The proposed Post 16 Transport Policy sets out the Local Authority’s criteria for determining eligibility for assistance with travel for 2025/2026. The proposed policy is intended to provide clarity for parents/carers and young people facing a wide range of circumstances and to ensure that young people with particular and significant needs are appropriately supported.
