What is happening?

BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL
SECTION 77 OF THE SCHOOL STANDARDS AND FRAMEWORK ACT 1998 (as amended)
PLAYING FIELD LAND AT FORMER OSCOTT MANOR SCHOOL SITE

NOTICE is given in accordance with Section 77 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 in respect of playing field land at the former Oscott Manor School, Old Oscott Hill, Birmingham B44 9SP.

The Secretary of State has directed that the general community should be consulted about the playing field land as defined in the above legislation.

Birmingham City Council wishes to dispose 3453 square metres of playing field land at the former Oscott Manor School, Old Oscott Hill, Birmingham B44 9SP under Section 77 of the Schools Standards and Framework Act 1998. The playing field land comprises of an assortment of soft and hard play areas. Oscott Manor School relocated to new premises at Reservoir Road, Erdington, Birmingham B23 6DE on 1st November 2021.

Any person who wishes to make a representation regarding disposal of the playing field land should do so via the following BeHeard webpage from the 1st May 2025: https://www.birminghambeheard. org.uk/bcc/oscott-manor-section-77 or by writing to Property Management Team, Education Infrastructure, PO Box 15843, Birmingham B2 2RT or by email to ediproperty@birmingham.gov.uk.

Please include Former Oscott Manor School in the heading of any correspondence. The date by which representation should be made is: 12th June 2025. After this time Birmingham City Council, will be applying to the Secretary of State for Education to dispose of the site.
