What is happening?
COMMONS ACT 2006 -SECTION 38 NOTICE PORTLAND BILL COMMON
The Crown Estate has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Portland Bill Common. The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State. The proposed works are: Proposed alterations and improvements to the existing Portland Bill car park, including: improvements to surfacing, access and layout, ticket machines, cycle parking and electric vehicle charging points on 0.80 hectares of land. A copy of the application form and accompanying documents can be inspected at the Wild Chesil Centre, Portland Beach Road, Portland, Dorset, DT4 9XE between the opening hours of 10am -4pm everyday until the 22nd day of May.
