APPROPRIATION OF OPEN SPACE LAND

LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 SECTION 122

LAND AT KNUZDEN BROOK, BLACKBURN

NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with Section 122 of the Local Government Act 1972, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council intends to appropriate land comprising 5,234 square metres of Land at Knuzden Brook, Blackburn from the Environment & Operations portfolio to the Growth & Development portfolio to be held for planning purposes, enabling the land to be developed for housing and continued use of enhanced public open space.

A plan that identifies the precise location of the land is available for inspection at the Blackburn Town Hall, King William Street, Blackburn BB1 7DY from 9am to 4.30pm on weekdays (excluding Bank Holidays) or online at: Legal notices – Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.

Objections to the intended appropriation must be made in writing and addressed to Mr Asad Laher, Deputy Director of Legal and Governance, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, Town Hall, Blackburn, BB1 7DY or by email to asad.laher@blackburn.gov.uk by no later than Friday 2nd May 2025.
