NOTICE OF MAKING OF PUBLIC PATH AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDERS

SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY FOR OXFORDSHIRE

Charlton-on-Otmoor Footpath No. 1 (part) & Oddington Footpath No. 6 (part) Modification Order 2025

The above Order made on the 18 March 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area, as shown on the Order plan, by:-

Adding a length of public footpath in Charlton-on-Otmoor and Oddington, commencing from an unclassified road at SP 5647 1613 in Charlton-on-Otmoor to a Merton road at SP 5647 1613 generally north to Oddington Footpath 6/1 for 145m to the Oddington parish boundary at SP 5619 1651 to a line running from the street highway north east from Charlton-on-Otmoor to Firtan at SP 5627 1618 then north west for 27m to SP 5626 1636, north west for 22m to SP 5623 1639 north and west for 105m to the Oddington parish boundary at SP 5619 1651.

Adding a length of part of Oddington Footpath No. 6 from a line running from the Charlton-on-Otmoor parish boundary at SP 5619 1651 north west for 96m to SP 5616 1666 to a line running from the Charlton-on-Otmoor parish boundary at SP 5619 1651 north west for 235m to SP 5619 1665.

Charlton-on-Otmoor Bridleway No. 3 (part) Modification Order 2025

The above Order made on the 18 March 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by:-

Adding to the line on the bridleway from High Street, Charlton-on-Otmoor at grid reference SP 5628 1582, turning south-eastwards along Otmoor Lane for 114m to the existing northern end of Charlton-on-Otmoor Bridleway No. 3 at SP 5631 1573.

Noke Footpath No. 1 (part) Modification Order 2025

The above Order made on the 18 March 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by:-

Adding to the line the public footpath from Noke Bridleway No. 4 in Noke north-east for 264m to grid reference SP 5465 1322 running north-west for 106 metres to the existing south-east end of Noke Footpath No. 1 at SP 5461 1332.

Any representations about or objections to the Orders may be sent in writing to Countryside Access Legal, Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, New Road, Oxford OX1 1ND or countryside.access@oxfordshire.gov.uk no later than 9 May 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

Please note that any letters or emails received will be open to public inspection. They may also be copied and used to help others consider and formulate a view on the Order. They may be published as part of a report to the Council's Planning and Regulation Committee. This process may include identifying the name of the person making the objection or representation. The Council will not accept anonymous objections or representations. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

The Oxfordshire County Council, Stanton St. John Footpath No. 24 (part), Public Path Creation and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2025

The Order made on 18 March 2025 under section 26 of the Highways Act 1980, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by creating, as shown on the Order map:-

Stanton St. John FP24 running from the existing western end of Stanton St. John Footpath No. 24 at OS Grid Ref SP 564 0953 south-westwards for 48m to Baywaters Road at SP 563 0953.

A copy of the Order and Order map may be seen free of charge during opening hours at Headington Library, North Place, Headington, OX3 9HY tel: 01865-815610, or online at https://letstalk.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ssj-03805. A copy can also be obtained via post to countryside.access@oxfordshire.gov.uk.
