LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT 1976 PRIVATE HIRE OPERATOR LICENCE AND PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLE FEES
Notice is hereby given that Broadland District Council intends, after the expiry of the period mentioned below, under the provisions of Section 70 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976, to vary the fee for an Operator licence to £715 for new applications and to £650 for a renewal application. This fee applies to a licence issued for a five-year period. To also vary the fee for an annual Private Hire Vehicle licence to £265 for new vehicles and £240 for renewal applications. The fee for a six-month Private Hire Vehicle licence and six-month Hackney Carriage Vehicle to £175.
Copies of this notice will be kept at the offices of Broadland District Council Horizon Centre, Peachman Way, Norwich, NR7 0WF and will be open for inspection, free of charge, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm, for a period of 28 days from the date of publication of this Notice. Any objection to the variation of the licence fees shall be made in writing to the Environmental Health Manager (Commercial) at the above address by 17 April 2025. If no objections are received or remain outstanding on 21 April 2025 the new fees will come into effect on this date.
