Proposed Amendment to Fees

Notice is hereby given that in exercise of powers contained in Part II of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 the Council propose to amend the fees for licensing of hackney carriages, private hire vehicles and private hire operators as follows.

Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicles

Vehicle Licences (valid 1 year)

• Private Hire Initial grant - £304.00 Incl signs
• Private Hire Renewal - £232.00
• Hackney Carriage Initial grant - £304.00 Incl signs
• Hackney Carriage Renewal - £232.00
• Replacement of plates - £25.00
• Transfer of interest (vehicle) - £25.00
• Door signs – magnetic - £17.00 Per pair
• Door signs – permanent - £17.00 Per pair

Private Hire Operator’s Licences:

• Initial Issue - £558.60 5 year licence
• Renewal - £451.25 5 year licence
• 1 year licence (where permitted) - £140.60
• Change of name/address/vehicle detail etc - £15.00

Any person wishing to object to the proposals should email Licensing@huntingdonshire.gov.uk or write to the Licensing Manager, Pathfinder House, St Mary’s Street, Huntingdon, PE29 3TN by 08 April 2025. Details of the proposals will also be available for inspection for 28 days from the date of publication of this notice.
