What is happening?

NOTICE OF SETTING THE COUNCIL TAX 2025/26 LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINANCE ACT – SECTION 30

The Council of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham on 26 February 2025 set, in accordance with the Local Government Finance Act 1992, the following amounts of Council Tax for the period 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, for each of the categories of properties shown in the table below.

The total Council Tax for each property band is made up partly from the amount required by the London Borough of Dagenham and partly from the amount required by the Greater London Authority as shown.

In accordance with Section 11C of the Local Government Finance Act 1992, notice is hereby given that on 26 February 2025, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham council gave approval for a 100% Council Tax premium to be charged on second homes effective from 1 April 2026.
