Council Tax 2025/26
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to section 38 of the Local Government Finance Act 1992 (hereinafter referred to as "The Act") that the Council of the London Borough of Croydon in accordance with section 30 of the Act, has set an amount of Council Tax, for each category of dwellings, for the financial year beginning 1st April 2025 as follows:

Council Tax Empty Property Premiums
The London Borough of Croydon decided at its meeting on 6th March 2024, as specified under section 11 B of the Local Government Finance Act 1992 as amended by the Local Government Finance Act 2012, the Rating (Property in Common Occupation) and Council Tax (Empty Dwellings) Act 2018 and the Levelling Up and Regeneration Act 2023 that from 1st April 2025, a 100% Council Tax premium will be applied to second homes (also known as dwellings occupied periodically). The premium is charged in addition to the existing council tax charge of 100% and these properties will therefore pay 200% council tax.
