Notice of Making an Order

PUBLIC PATH CREATION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER

Highways Act 1980 SECTION 26 and Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981

The Wiltshire Council parish of PITTON AND FARLEY BRIDLEWAY 33 CREATION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2025

The above order, made on 20 February 2025, under Section 26 of the Highways Act 1980, will create a public bridleway over land at White Hill, Pitton, leading from OS Grid Reference SU 2132-3073 in a broadly northerly direction for 160 metres to OS Grid Reference SU 2130-3087, having a width of 4 metres.

If confirmed, the order will also have the effect of modifying the Salisbury and Wilton Rural District Council Area Definitive Map and Statement dated 1953 accordingly.

A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at: Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN Between 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday by appointment.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Wiltshire Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order.

If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation, any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.

PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER

Highways Act 1980 SECTION 118 and Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981

The Wiltshire Council parish of PITTON AND FARLEY FOOTPATH 33 EXTINGUISHMENT AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2025

The above order, made on 20 February 2025, under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, will extinguish the entire width of that length of footpath, over land at White Hill, Pitton, leading from OS Grid Reference SU 2132-3073 in a broadly north westerly direction for approximately 300 metres to OS Grid Reference SU 2106-3087.

If confirmed, the order will also have the effect of modifying the Salisbury and Wilton Rural District Council Area Definitive Map and Statement dated 1953 accordingly.
