Council Tax Discount changes 2025/2026 for Unoccupied Properties

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to Section 11A of the Local Government Finance Act 1992, Leicester City Council did determine at the Council meeting on 19th February 2025 that in respect of its area, the Council Tax discount relating to the class of prescribed dwelling set out below will be as follows:

1. Unoccupied and substantially unfurnished properties - the Council Tax discount will be 0% from the date the property becomes vacant.

The above will take effect from 1st April 2025.
