WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL

COUNCIL TAX PUBLIC NOTICE –WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL – NOTICE OF COUNCIL TAX 2025-26

The Council has set the following amounts for the period 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026

(Empty Dwellings) Act 2018, and Levelling Up & Regeneration Act 2023. West Northamptonshire Council has determined that from the 1st April 2024, properties that have been unoccupied and substantially unfurnished for 1 year or more will be subject to a 100% premium and properties unoccupied and substantially unfurnished for 5 years of more will be subject to a 200% premium (except for those properties which fall into prescribed Classes E (member of armed services) and F (annexes) or any other such class of property as determined by Central Government

Second Home Premium – West Northamptonshire Council has determined that from 1st April 2025 that a premium of 100% will apply to properties that are classed as second homes, which do not fall under the following classes of exception E (Armed Forces), F (annexes), G (properties being actively marketed for sale 12 month limit), H (Dwellings being actively marketed for let 12 month limit), I (12 months from grant of probate), J (Job related dwellings), K (Occupied caravan pitches and boat moorings), L (Seasonal Homes where year round occupation is restriction).
