Announcement Of Intention Not To Prepare An Environmental Statement

Regulation 12B of the Environmental Impact Assessment (Land Drainage Improvement Works) SI1999/1783 as amended

Upper Wye Catchment Restoration Project

Natural Resources Wales gives notice that it proposes to carry out improvement works to the drainage on an unnamed tributary to the River Wye near Llangurig, Powys at Ty Mawr farm (NGR SN 87518 80536). The proposed improvement works will involve the following: installation of a culvert (750mm twin wall pipe) to divert the watercourse under the farm track rather than flowing over the track, to reduce sediment being transported into the river Wye.

Natural Resources Wales considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them. For further information, please contact the project manager on the details below.

Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, to the address specified below, within 30 days of the date of publication of this notice.
