Bydd yr ymgeiswyr llwyddiannus yn gallu dangos eu bod yn wrthrychol, yn medru deall a phwyso a mesur tystiolaeth, yn annibynnol a diduedd, a gyda sgiliau da o ran gwrando a gweithio mewn tîm. Mae naw aelod i’r pwyllgor yn cynnwys pump ‘Aelod Annibynnol’ nad ydynt yn aelodau o awdurdod lleol.

Yn ôl Mesur Llywodraeth Leol (Cymru) 2011 (fel y’i diwygiwyd) rhaid i Gadeirydd y Pwyllgor fod yn un o’r aelodau lleyg.

Cyngor Gwynedd is looking for members for its Standards Committee and its Governance and Audit Committee
Standards Committee (2 vacant seats for independent members)
The aim of this statutory committee is to promote, maintain and improve the standards of conduct by the councillors of Cyngor Gwynedd and the county’s community and town councils. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate will be able to demonstrate objectivity, independence and impartiality and will have good listening skills and team working skills. The committee consists of nine members including five Independent Members who are not members of a local authority.
Governance and Audit Committee (2 vacant seats for lay members)
This statutory committee consists of 12 Councillors on the basis of political balance, together with six ‘lay members’, being a person who is not a member of a local authority. The committee is responsible for ensuring that the Council’s governance and financial arrangements are in order. According to the Local Government (Wales) Measure 2011 (as amended) the Chair of the Committee must be one of the lay members.
Members will receive a payment for attending together with expenses
