Sherwood Park Special School, Wallington - School Expansion Proposal

Expansion onto an additional site of Sherwood Park Special School

Notice is given in accordance with section 19 (1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that the governing body of Sherwood Park School in partnership with the London Borough of Sutton intends to make a prescribed alteration to Sherwood Park Special School, Streeters Lane, Wallington, Surrey, SM6 7NP from 1 September 2025.

The proposal is to expand the school on a temporary basis to a third campus at Carew Manor, Church Road, Wallington, Surrey, SM6 7NH. This campus would have capacity to meet the need for 24 places in the first year, with options for further expansion pending a decision from the Department for Education regarding the opening of Angel Hill Free School.

The current capacity of the school is 180 places and the proposed capacity will increase by 24 to 204 in September 2025.
