Mae’r Ombwdsmon Gwasanaethau Cyhoeddus ar gyfer Cymru wedi ymchwilio cwyn a darganfod methiant gwasanaethau gan Ganolfan Feddygol o fewn ardal Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Aneurin Bevan (“y Practis”) ac wedi gwnud argymhelliad am gymhwyso’r ymchwiliad i fwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Aneurin Bevan a’r Practis. Mae’r gwyn yn ymwneud a’r Practis yn peidio cymryd y camau priodol a fyddai wedi arwain at ddiagnosis a thriniaeth mwy o ganser y bledren y claf.
Bydd copi o’r adroddiad ar gael ar wefan Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Aneurin Bevan www.bipab.gig.cymru.ac ar gael i’r cyhoedd weld, heb gost, yn ystod oriau gwaith arferol ym Mwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Aneurin Bevan, Ysbyty Sant Cadog, Ffordd y Loj, Caerllion, Casnewydd, NP18 3XQ am gyfnod o 3 wythnos o’r 29ain o Ionawr 2025 a chaiff unrhyw berson fynd a chopi o’r adroddiad neu wneud echdyniadau ohono.

PUBLIC SERVICES OMBUDSMAN (WALES) ACT 2019
Notice pursuant to s.24(3) of the above Act.
The Public Services Ombudsman for Wales has investigated a complaint and found service failure by a Medical Centre within the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board area (“the Practice”) and has sent a report on the results of their investigation to Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and the Practice.
The complaint related to the Practice failing to take appropriate action which would have resulted in an earlier diagnosis and treatment of a patient’s bladder cancer.
A copy of the report will be available on the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board’s website www.abuhb.nhs.wales and for inspection by the public without charge during normal office hours at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board St Cadoc’s Hospital Lodge Road Caerleon Newport NP18 3XQ for a period of 3 weeks from 29th January 2025 and anyone who wishes may take a copy of the report or make extracts therefrom.
