Schools (Consultation) (Scotland) Act 2010 Notice of Statutory Consultation on the proposal to Rezone the Catchment Areas of Kirkcaldy West and Dunnikier Primary Schools.
On 9 January 2025, the Cabinet Committee of Fife Council authorised the Education Directorate to undertake a statutory consultation in terms of
the Schools (Consultation) (Scotland) Act 2010 on the proposal to rezone the catchment areas of Kirkcaldy West and Dunnikier Primary Schools from 4 July 2025.

Printed copies are available for inspection at or on request, free of charge from:
• Fife Council, Main Reception, Fife House, North Street, Glenrothes, KY7 5LT
• The following schools affected by the proposal (between the hours of 9am and 3pm):
 - Dunnikier Primary School, Balsusney Road, Kirkcaldy, KY2 5LH
 - Kirkcaldy West Primary School, 42 Milton Road, Kirkcaldy, KY1 1TL

The statutory consultation period will commence on Tuesday 21 January 2025 and will end on Friday 7 March 2025. You are invited to attend a public meeting on the proposal to be held at:
• Kirkcaldy West Primary School on Monday 3 February 2025 from 6-7 pm
• Dunnikier Primary School on Monday 10 February 2025 from 6-7 pm
Informal drop-in sessions are also being held at:
• Kirkcaldy West Primary School on Monday 3 February from 8.45-9.30 am
• Kirkcaldy West Primary School on Monday 3 February from 5-6 pm
• Dunnikier Primary School on Monday 10 February 2025 from 8.45-9.30 am
• Dunnikier Primary School on Monday 10 February 2025 from 5-6 pm
• Kirkcaldy West Primary School on Tuesday 11 February 2025 from 2.45-3.30 pm
• Dunnikier Primary School on Tuesday 18 February 2025 from 2.45-3.30 pm
You are invited to have your say on this proposal. You can attend a public meeting and/or you can make written representations by letter, email or
completion of a Consultation Response Form to any of the following:

Printed copies of the Consultation Response Form will also be available at the public meetings, informal drop-in sessions, and from the schools and the council office listed above.
In order to be taken into account, all views on the proposal in writing, by e-mail or by completion of the Consultation Response Form must arrive by
close of business on Friday 7 March 2025.
Following conclusion of the consultation period the Council will review the proposal and prepare a Consultation Report for consideration by a future
Cabinet Committee of Fife Council. Further detail on this process is contained in the proposal paper.
