CROYDON COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14
AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS

HIGH STREET & KATHARINE STREET, CROYDON
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate footway and carriageway works, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic movements and parking in High Street and Katharine Street, Croydon.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

    a) Katharine Street will be closed between its junctions with Fell Road and High Street, Croydon.

    b) High Street, Croydon will be closed between its junctions with Katharine Street and Edridge Road slip road.

    c) Footways will be closed in phases as works progress.

    d) The loading bay in High Street, Croydon, at its junction with Katharine Street, will be suspended.

  3. During the closures the diversion route for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below.

  • High Street/Katharine Street Closures – Diversion via Fell Road, Park Lane, and Edridge Road slip road.

  • Footway Closures – Pedestrians to be diverted via the opposite footway.

  1. The Order will come into operation on 06 January 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 28 February 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  2. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

  3. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

    b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

    c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

COURTNEY ROAD, JENNETT ROAD, LODGE AVENUE, MILL LANE & WANDLE SIDE
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water main replacement works on behalf of Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in the roads listed in paragraph 2 below.

  2. Whilst the said work is taking place the roads will be closed as detailed below and parking will be suspended as necessary.

3. During the work, one-way working in Limes Avenue, Lodge Avenue and Wandle Side will be suspended to allow two-way traffic.

4. When the closures are in force, the alternative routes for traffic will be as detailed below.

  • Mill Lane – No diversion. Access maintained at specified times.

  • Jennett Road – No diversion. Access for residents maintained.

  • Courtney Road – Via Godson Road, Purley Way, Waddon Road and vice versa.

  • Lodge Avenue – Via Purley Way, Limes Avenue, Wandle Side, and vice versa.

  • Wandle Side – Via Lodge Avenue, Purley Way, Limes Avenue.

5. The Order will come into operation on 07 January 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed as detailed above. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum duration of 18 months to be reintroduced if further work is required.

6. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

a) a vehicle being used to carry out the said work.

b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

SELHURST ROAD, SOUTH NORWOOD
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate new electrical connection works on behalf of UKPN, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit parking in Selhurst Road, South Norwood.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place the free parking place opposite Nos. 89 to 93 Selhurst Road will be suspended, and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time.

  3. The Order will come into operation on 06 January 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed in five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  4. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any person or vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

    (b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

GROSVENOR ROAD, SOUTH NORWOOD
NOTICE OF TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water pipe repairs on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Grosvenor Road.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

    a) Buses and Heavy Good Vehicles (i.e. any goods vehicle with a maximum gross weight of 3.5 tonnes or more) will be prohibited from entering Grosvenor Road at the junction with High Street, South Norwood.

    b) Five inset parking bays in Grosvenor Road at the rear of Nos. 68 to 70 High Street, South Norwood, and a loading bay adjacent to the flank wall of No. 67 High Street, South Norwood, will be suspended.

  3. The Order will come into operation on 13 January 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in three days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  4. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

    (b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

LEANDER ROAD, THORNTON HEATH
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate new gas connection work by SGN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic and parking in Leander Road, Thornton Heath.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

    a) Leander Road will be closed between the common boundaries of Nos. 41 and 43 and Nos. 45 and 47 Leander Road.

    b) Parking in Leander Road will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply "at any time" both sides of the road from the common boundary of Nos. 43 and 45 Leander Road south-westwards for 20 metres.

  3. During the closure, the diversion route for vehicular traffic will be via Goldwell Road, Headcorn Road, and reversed, or via Goldwell Road, London Road, and reversed.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 20 January 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out within nine days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extents as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

  5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

  • any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

  • any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

  • anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer repair works on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Livingstone Road, Thornton Heath.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

    a) Livingstone Road closed between its junctions with Norbury Road and Speke Road.

    b) Parking within the above closure area will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time.

  3. During the closure, the alternative route for traffic will be Hythe Road, Mersham Road, Norbury Road, Moffat Road, Layard Road and reversed.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 22 January 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out within one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

    (b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

PAWSONS ROAD, CROYDON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate a district meter exchange on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Pawsons Road, Croydon.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place Pawsons Road will be closed at its junction with Whitehorse Road.

  3. During the closure, the alternative routes for traffic will be via Bensham Manor Road, Swain Road, Kynaston Road, Sandringham Road and Pawsons Road, or via Northbrook Road, Mayo Road, and Pawsons Road, as appropriately signposted.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 10 January 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out within four days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

    (b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
