NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT

MODIFICATION ORDERS SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

The Oxfordshire County Council Hanwell Footpath No. 8 (part) Modification Order 2024

On the 4 December 2024, Oxfordshire County Council confirmed without modification the above order made under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by: -Adding to them the public footpath from Main Street, Hanwell at grid reference SP 4393 4388, running south east for approximately 50 metres to SP 43958 43844 and then south west for approximately 3 metres to the existing north-eastern end of Footpath No. 8 at SP 43956 43842. A copy of the Order and Order map may be: -

The Oxfordshire County Council Oxford Footpath No. 54 (part) Modification Order 2024

On the 25 November 2024, Oxfordshire County Council confirmed without modification the above order made under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by: -Adding to them the public footpath from the cycle track as shown on the List of Streets at SP 5097 1022 running generally east-south-eastwards for approximately 267 metres to the existing southern end of Oxford FP 54 at OS Grid Reference SP 5122 1017.

The above orders as confirmed became operative on their date of confirmation but if a person aggrieved by the orders wants to question their validity, on the ground that they are not within the powers of section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the ground that any requirement of Schedule 15 to the Act has not been complied with in relation to the orders, he or she may, under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act, within 42 days from 19 December 2024, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

The Oxfordshire County Council, Didcot Footpath No. 20 (part), Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2024

On 9th December 2024, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A (2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting, as shown on the Order map: -

Didcot FP20 running from OS Grid Ref SU 5319 9129 north-north-eastwards for 198m to SU 5329 9146, east-south-eastwards for 211m to SU 5349 9141 and north-eastwards for 142m to SU 5360 9150 to a new line running from OS Grid Ref SU 5319 9129 north-north-eastwards for

to 200m to SU 5330 9145, east-south-eastwards for 174m to Franklin Gardens at SU 5346 9140, north-north-eastwards for 17m to SU 5347 9142, east-south-eastwards for 15m to SU 5349 9141, north-north-eastwards for 10m to SU 5349 9142, east-south-eastwards for 59m to SU 5355 9140, north-north-eastwards for 115m to SU 5359 9151, and east-south-eastwards for 9m via SU 5360 9150 to SU 5360 9150.

The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 19 December 2024 make an application to the High Court.
