COMPULSORY PURCHASE OF LAND AT 224 REEPHAM ROAD, NORWICH

1. Notice is hereby given that the Broadland District Council has made the Broadland District Council (224 Reepham Road, Norwich) Compulsory Purchase Order 2024 under section 17(1)(b) of the Housing Act 1985. It is about to submit this order to the Secretary of State for confirmation, and if confirmed, the order will authorise the Broadland District Council to purchase compulsorily the land described below for the purpose of the provision of housing accommodation.

2. A copy of the order and of the accompanying map may be seen at all reasonable hours at the offices of Broadland District Council, Horizon Business Centre, Broadland Business Park, Peachman Way, Norwich, NR7 0WF.

4. Any objection to the order must be made in writing to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, Planning Casework Unit, 23 Stephenson Street, Birmingham, B2 4BH, before 4th February 2025 and should state the title of the order, the grounds of objection and the objector's address and interests in the land. Please, if possible, also send a copy of the objection by e-mail to pcu@communities.gov.uk in addition to posting it.

   DESCRIPTION OF LAND

   All interests in 224 Reepham Road, Norwich, Norfolk, NR6 5SW (having an area of approximately 706m2) and being registered at the Land Registry with title number NK303713.

   In submitting an objection, it should be noted that your personal data and correspondence will be passed by the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government to the acquiring authority to enable your objection to be considered. Where the compulsory purchase order becomes the subject of the written representations procedure or public inquiry procedure, all correspondence is copied to the Inspector conducting the exchange of written representations or the public inquiry and will be kept in the Public inquiry library, where it is publicly available.

   If you do not wish your personal data to be forwarded, please state your reasons when submitting your objection and the Secretary of State will copy your representations, with your name and address removed, to the acquiring authority and if there is to be an exchange of written representations or public inquiry they will be seen by the Inspector, who may give them less weight as a result.

   You should also be aware that the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government publishes a public register of compulsory purchase order decisions issued by the Secretary of State in their role as the confirming authority. You are advised that individual decision letters and inspectors’ reports may be published, and where they are, publication will be carried out in accordance with the obligations under the General Data Protection Regulations and Data Protection Act 2018.
