NOTICE OF MAKING OF ORDER

EAST DEVON DISTRICT COUNCIL (CIVIL ENFORCEMENT OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES)

AMENDMENT ORDER NO.2 2024

Notice is hereby given that East Devon District Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 32 and 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) (“the 1984 Act”) as further regulated by the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers has amended the East Devon District Council (Civil Enforcement Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2008 (as amended) (“the 2008 Order”) which has had the effect of adding Blackmore Gardens Short Stay Car Park, Sidmouth, Devon to the 2008 Order with the imposition of the following charges for and restrictions on use:

Passenger vehicle Light goods vehicle Motorcaravan01 April or Good Friday (whichever is earlier) & 31 October inclusive

Every day including Bank Holidays between 8:00am and 6:00pm

Minimum payment £1.00 (30 minutes)

Cash or Card Transactions then £1.00 for every additional 30 minutes or part thereof

Maximum payment £4.00 (2 hours)

Mobile ’phone transactions then 20p for every additional 6 minutes or part thereof

Town modular parking permit

Annual £240

1 month £20

Daily Parking Permits

2 day £12

3 day £15

4 day £20

7 day £25

Between 8:00am and 6:00pm Daily

2 hours

No return on the same date as the expired period of parking

Motor Caravan parking only permitted between 8:00am to 10:00pm

Town modular and daily parking permits In this car park Town modular and daily parking permits referred to in the preceding column are only valid for one continuous visit of up to 2 hours duration between 8:00am & 6:00pm in any one day, Monday to Sunday inclusive.

This amendment Order was made on the 11th December 2024 and will come into operation on the 13th December 2024.

If any person wishes to question the validity of this amendment Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act or that any requirement of the 1984 Act or any instrument made under the 1984 Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date that this amendment Order was made, apply to the High Court.
