PUBLIC NOTICE
LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 S 123 (2A)
DISPOSAL OF LAND AND BUILDING AT KING CHARLES ROAD, SURBITON FORMING PART OF ALEXANDRA RECREATION GROUND SURBITON KT5 9BE IN THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KINGSTON UPON THAMES (“the Property”)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to s 123 (2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 that The Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames intends to dispose of the above referred Property comprising approximately 219.4 square metres by way of the grant of a lease to a community interest company (CIC) for a term of years ending on the 9 September 2027 to be used for a range of activities in line with the objects of THE COMMUNITY BRAIN CIC being to provide workshop, 'make and learn' opportunities and training, food growing and supporting other local charities to benefit the local community, particularly those with mental health or isolation issues or struggling in the community together with ancillary storage.
A plan identifying the extent of the Property is available for inspection at the Council’s offices at Guildhall, High Street, Kingston KT1 1EU.
Any objections concerning the proposal above or any request to inspect the plan should be made in writing and sent to: Dawid Miszkurka, Place Directorate, The Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames, Guildhall, High Street. KT1 1EU or by email to: property@kingston.gov.uk quoting ref: Alexandra Rec - LOUT000536 by no later than midnight on the 9th January 2025.
