Harlow, Essex – Disposal of Public Open Space
What is happening?
HARLOW DISTRICT COUNCIL
LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 SECTION 123 (1), (2A)
LAND ADJOINING BOTH SIDES OF THE A414 BETWEEN THE RIVER STORT AND THE TOWN STATION ROUNDABOUT IN HARLOW, ESSEX
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Harlow District Council intends to:
- dispose of the freehold of the parcels of public open space shown on Plan ref: GIM4411-040 and having an area of approximately 1.33 acres to enable development in accordance with the planning permissions referenced 3/19/1046/FUL (East Hertfordshire District Council) and HW/CRB/19/00220 (Harlow District Council) or any varied or subsequent planning permissions for works including alterations to the existing Fifth Avenue road/rail bridge, and creation of new bridges to support the widened highway to west of the existing structure to create the Central Stort Crossing, including embankment works, pedestrian and cycle structures and facilities, lighting and landscaping works and other associated works; and
- grant preparatory works and survey licence/s.
Copies of Plan ref: GIM4411-040 can be inspected on the Public Notice Board at the Civic Centre, The Water Gardens, Harlow, Essex CM20 1WG during normal office hours (excepting Bank Holidays) and copies may be obtained on payment of Harlow Council’s copying charges. Plan ref: GIM4411-040 is also available to download from the Council’s website at https://www.harlow.gov.uk/your-council/have-your-say/public-notices.
Any objections to the intended disposal must be made in writing and addressed to Julie Galvin, Legal Services Manager, Harlow District Council, The Civic Centre, The Water Gardens, Harlow, Essex CM20 1WG by no later than 12th December 2024.
