South Pier Road - Notice That the Charity Proposes to Grant a Lease
What is happening?
A Public Notice for the purposes of Section 121 of The Charities Act 2011 (for grant of rights over Property)
Canal & River Trust acting as Trustee of the Waterways Infrastructure Trust (charity registration number 1146792-2) (the Charity) gives notice that the Charity proposes to grant a lease for a term of 999 years for the construction, retention and use of a new footbridge crossing the Erewash Canal and located between Broad Street and West Park, Long Eaton the location for which is shown edged in red on the plan to this notice. The rights granted will also include the right to access the towpath from the new footbridge. The existing footbridge will be removed. The area of land and airspace involved in the proposed lease is owned by the Charity.

Alternatively, a copy of the plan may be requested in writing.
The Trustee of the Charity has been app - roached with a request to grant these rights over the Charity’s property. Any representations or comments in relation to the proposed transaction should be sent for consideration to the following address by no later than one calendar month from the date of this notice:
