READING BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE PURSUANT TO SECTION 123(2A) OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972

(AS AMENDED)

NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended) that Reading Borough Council intends to dispose by way of the grant of a lease together with all easements necessary as to access and use of services of an area of land which forms part of land held as public open space known as Palmer Park Bowling Club, Palmer Park, Wokingham Road, Reading, RG6 1LF. The proposed grant renewal of lease of the land is to Palmer Park Bowling Club for use as a Bowling Green and Club Pavilion in order to continue to provide community activity for local people along with facilities for the wider community.

A plan identifying the land to be disposed of can be inspected on the Council's website using the link: www.reading.gov.uk/palmerpark

Any objections to the proposed lease must be made in writing and addressed to the Assets Management Section, Reading Borough Council, Civic Offices, Bridge Street, Reading RG1 2LU email; assets.management8reading.gov.uk (quoting reference "Palmer Park Bowling Club") and received no later than 12 noon on 7th November 2024. If anyone requires further information, please email assets.management@reading.gov.uk. The Council will consider any objections received in writing at its next available Policy Committee.
