PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF MAKING AN ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 WORCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL DIVERSION OF BRIDLEWAY WR-504 (PARTS) (FORMERLY BRIDLEWAY 417) IN THE CITY OF WORCESTER PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2024
The above Order, made on 2nd October 2024, under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, and Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, will divert the public bridleway and modify the definitive map and statement for Worcestershire accordingly:
Part A
The length and entire width of WR-504 (part) in the city of Worcester, to be diverted, commences at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SO 8778 5467. The bridleway proceeds in a generally WSW direction for 128 metres (m) until OSGR SO 8766 5464 where the path turns in a NW direction for 104m to OSGR SO 8759 5471. To a point commencing at OSGR SO 8778 5467. The bridleway proceeds in a W direction for 82m until OSGR SO 8770 5467 where it changes to a SW direction for 58m until OSGR SO 8766 5465. From here it turns in a NW direction for 97m where it joins the original way at OSGR SO 8759 5471.
Part B
The length and entire width of WR-504 (part) in the city of Worcester, to be diverted, commences at OSGR SO 8755 5484 in a W direction for 48m until OSGR SO 8750 5484 where the bridleway heads north for 27m to OSGR 8749 5487. From here it turns NW for 64m until OSGR SO 8744 it rejoins the current bridleway. To a point that commences at OSGR SO 8755 5484 proceeding in a W direction for 48m until OSGR SO 8750 5484 where it changes to a N direction for 27m until SO 8750 5487. From here it turns in a WNW direction for 68m to join the original way at OSGR SO 8744 5489. As shown on the order map.

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to the Mapping Manager, Public Rights of Way Mapping Team, The Countryside Centre, Worcester Woods Country Park, Spetchley Road, Worcester, WR5 2LG or countryside@worcestershire.gov.uk. not later than 8th November 2024: Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the County Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
