NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ORDER SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
The Oxfordshire County Council Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for Oxfordshire Hanwell Footpath No. 8 (part) Modification Order 2024
The above Order made on the 30 September 2024, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by:-From Main Street, Hanwell at grid reference SP 4393 4388, running south east for approximately 50 metres to SP 43958 43844 and then south west for approximately 3 metres to the existing north-eastern end of Footpath No. 8 at SP 43956 43842.

Any representation or objection relating to the order must be sent in writing to Countryside Access - Research and Legal Record, Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, Oxford OX1 1ND, or countrysideaccesslegal@oxfordshire.gov.uk not later than 22 November 2024 and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made. If no representations or objections are duly made to the order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Oxfordshire County Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the order. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF MODIFICATION ORDERS
SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
The Oxfordshire County Council Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for Oxfordshire Hailey Footpath No. 21 (part) Modification Order 2024
On the 30 September 2024, Oxfordshire County Council confirmed without modification the above order made under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by:-Amending the alignment of the full extent of the path running from OS grid reference SP 3423 1114 at the existing line of Footpath No. 21 generally south-westwards for approximately 81 metres to SP 3420 1107, on to a route from the existing line of Footpath No. 21 at grid reference SP 3423 1114, running generally south-westwards, south-eastwards then south-westwards for approximately 209 metres to the Curbridge parish boundary where it meets Curbridge Footpath No. 1c at SP 3419 1098. The Oxfordshire County Council Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for Oxfordshire Broadwell Footpath No. 16 Modification Order 2024
On the 30 September 2024, Oxfordshire County Council confirmed without modification the above order made under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by:-Adding to them the public footpath running from Kencot Footpath No. 2 at the Kencot Parish boundary at SP 25715 03771, running southwards for approximately 21 metres to Broadwell Footpath No.7 at grid reference SP 25714 03750. A copy of the Order and Order map may be:-

The orders as confirmed became operative on the date of confirmation but if a person aggrieved by the orders wants to question their validity, on the ground that they are not within the powers of section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the ground that any requirement of Schedule 15 to the Act has not been complied with in relation to the orders, he or she may, under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act, within 42 days from 10 October 2024, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
