SECTION 122 LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 NOTICE OF APPROPRIATION OF OPEN SPACE LAND AT WEST ROAD COMPRISING PITCH & PUTT GOLF COURSE AT DOWNSHIRE GOLF COURSE, WEST ROAD, WOKINGHAM, BERKSHIRE, RG40 3DH ("THE LAND")

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by Bracknell Forest Borough Council ("the Council") that:

In accordance with the Local Government Act 1972 Section 122(2A) the Council intends to appropriate the Land for planning purposes. The site has an area of approximately 2.2 ha.

The planning purpose is to change the use of the Land from part of a golf course to a cemetery pursuant to a planning application (reference 24/00560/3)

1. Requirements for the appropriation of land by local authorities are contained in S122 of the Local Government Act 1972. Sub Section (2A) of the Act requires notice of any proposal to appropriate land consisting of an open space to be published in a local newspaper for two consecutive weeks so that any person who wishes to raise an objection to the appropriation may so do

2. A report in relation to the appropriation of the Land is due to be considered at a Meeting of the Cabinet on 12th November 2024
