Notice of Definitive Map Modification Order
Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 - Section 53
The Definitive Map & Statement for the Former Kerrier District Area The Cornwall Council (Addition of a Footpath at Helford Passage in the Parish of Mawnan) Modification Order 2024
The above order made on 10 September 2024, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map & statement for the area by:
Adding a length of Public Footpath in the Parish of Mawnan from Classified Road C15, 210 metres north-north-east of “Tregarthen” at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SW 7650/2721, then running in a generally south-easterly then south-south-westerly then south-south-easterly then east-south-easterly for 586 metres terminating at its junction with existing Public Footpath 30 Mawnan and South West Coast Path National Trail, 363 metres east-south-east of “Tregarthen” at OSGR SW 7680/2688.
A copy of the Order as made & the Order Map can be downloaded from Cornwall Council’s website at https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/environment/countryside/definitive-map-modificationorders/ made-definitive-map-orders/ and may also be requested by email from DMMOOrders@cornwall.gov.uk or by telephoning 0300 1234 202. A copy of the Order & Map has been placed & may be seen free of charge at Falmouth Library & Information Service, Municipal Offices, The Moor, Falmouth, TR11 3QA from 930am to 5pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday and from 930am to 1pm on Wednesday and & Saturday. A copy may also be viewed at the Offices of Cornwall Council at New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY from 9am to 5pm, from Monday to Friday.
Any representation or objection relating to the order must be sent in writing to the Public Rights of Way Team Leader, Cornwall Council Regulatory Services, PO Box 676, Threemilestone, Truro TR1 9EQ (quoting Reference WCA 758) not later than 22 November stating the grounds on which they are made.
If no representations of objections are duly made to the order, (or to any part of it), or if any so made are withdrawn, the Cornwall Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State (or part of it if the authority has by notice to the Secretary of State so elected under paragraph 5 of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981) may itself confirm the order (or that part of the order). If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State (in whole or in part) any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.
