Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991
The Secretary of State for Transport has directed that the Order made by Kent County Council on the 18 April 2022, and subsequently extended until 18 October 2024, the effect of which was to prohibit all traffic from Public Footpath CW88 has been extended for a further 12 months, until the 18 October 2025 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier
The path is closed between Public Bridleway CW40 and Public Footpath CW89 An alternative route is available and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL(RESTRICTED BYWAY DR122 (PART), WILMINGTON)PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024
The above-named Order made on 2 October 2024 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the entire width of that length of restricted byway, which commences on the driveway to Hook Green Farm at NGR TQ 5196 7198 (point A) and heads in a south direction for 191 metres to its junction with restricted byway DR121 at NGR TQ 5193 7179 (point B) and will add a new length of restricted byway with a width of 4 metres, which commences at NGR TQ 5196 7199 (point C) and heads in a south-southwest direction for 90 metres to NGR TQ 5193 7190 (point D) before heading west for 22 metres to NGR TQ 5190 7190 (point E).
The restricted byway then heads in a south west direction for 59 metres to NGR TQ 5186 7186 (point F) before heading in a south-southeast direction for 107 metres to its junction with the unaffected section of restricted byway DR122 at NGR TQ 5190 7176 (point G).

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL(PUBLIC FOOTPATH KH8 (PART), BOXLEY & DETLING)PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024
On the 27th September 2024 the Kent County Council confirmed the above Order under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of that Order as confirmed is to divert the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered KH8 which commences at an unaffected section of public footpath KH8 at NGR TQ 7990 6037 (Point A) and runs in an east-north-eastern direction for 129 metres to its junction with Scragged Oak Road at NGR TQ 8002 6042 (Point B). As shown by the bold continuous line between Points A and B on the Order plan and will add a new length of public footpath numbered KH8 with a width of 2.5 metres, which commences at the aforementioned Point A and runs in a south-south-eastern to southeastern direction for 13 metres to NGR TQ 7990 6036 (Point C) and then in an eastern direction for 116 metres to its connection with Scragged Oak Road at NGR 8002 6036 (Point D). As shown by the bold broken line between Points A – C - D on the Order plan.

The Order comes into force on the 25th October 2024 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within 6 weeks from the 11th October 2024 make an application to the High Court.

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL(PUBLIC FOOTPATH KH147 (PART), HOLLINGBOURNE)PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024
The above-named Order made on 19 September under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered KH147, which commences on Pilgrims Way at NGR TQ 8281 5697 (point A) and runs north-east for 382 metres to its connection with public footpath KH191 at NGR TQ 8309 5723 (point B), as shown between the points A-B on the Order plan, and it will add a new length of public footpath numbered KH147, with a width of 2.0 metres, which commences at the aforementioned point A and runs east for 35 metres to NGR TQ 8285 5696 (point C), then north-east for 364 metres to NGR TQ 8313 5719 (point D), and then north-west for 61 metres to the aforementioned point B, as shown between the points A-C-D-B on the Order plan.

The above-named Order made on 19 September under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered KH147A, which commences on an unaffected length of public footpath KH147A at NGR TQ 8277 5710 (point A) and runs north north-west, north, north north-west, north-west and north north-west for 687 metres to its connection with Byway Open to All Traffic KH167 at NGR TQ 8252 5772 (point B), between the points A-B on the Order plan, and it will add a new length of public footpath numbered KH147A, with a width of 2.0 metres, which commences at the aforementioned point A and runs north north-west for 474 metres to its connection with public footpath KH190 at NGR TQ 8263 5755, then north-west for 123 metres to its connection with Byway Open to All Traffic KH167 at NGR TQ 8254 5763 (point C), between the points A-C on the Order plan.

NOTICE OF THE INTENTION TO MAKE AN ORDER TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE PUBLIC FOOTPATH MR100 IN THE PARISH OF DITTON

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991
Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath MR100 between Brampton Field and TQ707576 from 4 November 2024 The path will be closed for a maximum of six months.
The path is to be closed because construction work is planned on or near it.
An alternative route is via a constructed tarmac path to the north west of the path, and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

NOTICE OF THE INTENTION TO MAKE AN ORDER TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE PUBLIC FOOTPATHS WT327 & WT328 IN THE PARISH OF HORSMONDEN

(PUBLIC FOOTPATHS WT327 & WT328)(PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991
Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath WT327 from Maidstone Road for a distance of 500m and Public Footpath WT328 from NGR TQ706 444 and NGR TQ705 439 from the 5 November 2024
The paths will be closed for a maximum of six months.
The path are to be closed because of works on or near the public rights of way.
The alternative routes are: for WT327 is along the existing hedge line west of the footpath and for WT328 around the northern field boundary. They will be signed for the duration of the closure.
