What is happening?
LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT 1976
FIXING OF HACKNEY CARRIAGE RATES
Gloucester City Council intends to vary the existing table of fares for Hackney Carriages as follows:-
1. | Mileage Rate 1 - daytime Between 7.00am and 9.00pm Monday to Saturday |

For the first 520 yards or part thereof £3.60 For each subsequent 215 yards or part thereof 30p |

Rate 2 - night-time Between 9.00pm and 7.00am Monday to Saturday. All day Sundays, and between 6.00pm and 11.00pm on Xmas and New Years Eve |

Rate 3 - between 11.00pm on the day before and 7.00am on the morning following each and every PUBLIC HOLIDAY; Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, Early May Bank Holiday, Spring Bank Holiday, Summer Bank Holiday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day |

2. As required by the Act for the next 14 days a copy of this Notice will be available on the City Councils website for inspection.

3. Any objection to the proposed variation should be made in writing to me stating the ground(s) for objection within 14 days of today’s date. If no objection is received, then the new table of fares will come into force on 1st November 2024.
