NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDERS

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

1. The Oxfordshire County Council, Burford Footpaths No. 25 & No. 26, Public Path Creation and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2024

2. The Oxfordshire County Council, Burford Bridleway No. 24 (part), Public Path Diversion Order 2024

3. The Oxfordshire County Council, Burford Bridleway No. 24 (part) & Westwell Bridleway No. 4, Public Path Diversion Order 2024

The Creation Order made on 9 September 2024, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by creating, as shown on the Order map: -

Burford Footpath No. 25 running from the Oxford Road (A40) at OS Grid Ref SP 23715 12080 south-south-westwards for 4m to Burford Bridleway No. 24 at SP 23713 12076.

Burford Footpath No. 26 running from Burford Bridleway No. 24 at OS Grid Ref SP 2345 1088 south-eastwards for 44m to Signet Hill at SP 2350 1086. The Burford Bridleway No.24 (part) Diversion Order made on 9 September 2024, if confirmed as made, will divert, as shown on the Order map: -

Burford Bridleway No. 24 running from the A40 (Oxford Road) at OS Grid Ref SP 23715 12080 south-south-westwards for 4m to SP 23713 12076 to a new line running from the B4425 at OS Grid Ref SP 23260 12106 north-eastwards for 147m to SP 2339 1215 and east-south-eastwards for 328m to SP 23713 12076.

The Burford Bridleway No.24 (part) & Westwell Bridleway No. 4 Diversion Order made on 9 September 2024, if confirmed as made, will divert, as shown on the Order map: -

Burford Bridleway No. 24 running from OS Grid Ref SP 2320 1097 south-westwards for 293m to the Westwell Parish boundary at SP 2307 1070 and

Westwell Bridleway No. 4 running from the Westwell Parish boundary at OS Grid Ref SP 2307 1070 south-westwards for 242m to Signet Hill at SP 2302 1047 to a new line running from OS Grid Ref SP 2320 1097 eastwards for 272m to SP 23462 10887 and south-westwards for 421m to the Westwell Parish boundary at Signet Hill at SP 2321 1062.

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 The Oxfordshire County Council, Burford Bridleway No. 24 (part-width), Public Path Extinguishment Order 2024

The Order made on 9 September 2024, if confirmed as made, will extinguish: -1m to be taken off both sides equally, spaced from the centreline of the route of Burford Bridleway No. 24 running from OS Grid Ref SP 23701 12081, south-south-westwards for 1215m to SP 23193 10978, and from OS Grid Ref SP 23714 12076, south-south-westwards for 736m to SP 23401 11410 and continuing south-south-westwards from SP 23399 1 1402 for 469m to SP 23206 10973 as shown by bold black lines on the map attached to this Order. This retains an overall width of 4 metres save for a 5m width between SP 23401 11410 and SP 23399 11402.

Any representations about or objections to any of the above Orders may be sent in writing to Countryside Access - Research & Legal Record, Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, New Road, Oxford OX1 1ND at countrysideaccesslegal@oxfordshire.gov.uk no later than 18 October 2024. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Oxfordshire County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 The Oxfordshire County Council Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for Oxfordshire Langford Footpath No. 11 (part) Modification Order 2024

The above Order made on the 11 September 2024, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by: -

From Station Road at OS grid reference SP 2494 0264 running generally north-eastwards along Vicarage Lane for approximately 140 metres to the existing western end of Footpath No. 11 at SP 2501 0275.

Any representation or objection relating to the order must be sent in writing to Countryside Access - Research and Legal Record, Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, Oxford OX1 1ND, or countrysideaccesslegal@oxfordshire.gov.uk not later than 1 November 2024 and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made. If no representations or objections are duly made to an order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Oxfordshire County Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the order. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
