PUBLIC NOTICE

APPROPRIATION (Change of Use) OF THE SQUARE, GRANTOWN ON SPEY LOCATED ON GRANTOWN ON SPEY COMMON GOOD LAND

An action has been raised in Inverness Sheriff Court by The Highland Council (Pursuer) under section 75(2) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 for authority to appropriate (change the use) to introduce mandatory charging for The Square forming part of the Common Good of Grantown on Spey.

If anyone wishes to defend the action he [or she] should immediately contact the Sheriff Clerk, Inverness Sheriff Court, The Inverness Justice Centre, Inverness, IV1 1AH from whom the service copy of the initial writ may be obtained (inverness@scotcourts.gov.uk ). Answers to this application must be lodged within 21 days of the date of the publication of this Notice. Failure to lodge answers may result in a decree being passed in favour of the Pursuer when the case calls in Court on 4 September 2024 at 10.00am.
