What is happening?

ENERGY ACT 2004: REQUIREMENT TO PREPARE DECOMMISSIONING PROGRAMMES FOR OFFSHORE INSTALLATIONS UNDER SECTION 105.

NOTICE PUBLICISING THE CONSULTATION PERIOD FOR THE EAST ANGLIA THREE OFFSHORE WIND FARM DECOMMISSIONING PROGRAMME

1. The East Anglia THREE Offshore Wind Farm Order 2017 (2017 Order) granted consent on 7 August 2017 for the development of an offshore windfarm. The consent for EA THREE has since been amended in 2019, 2021 and 2022.

2. EATL seeks to submit the Decommissioning Programme for the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm required as part of the Order discharge documents allocated within the 2017 Order. EATL have received a Section 105 Notice from Secretary of State requiring the production of a high-level decommissioning programme in line with relevant international obligations and compliant with UK legislations and associated consultation process.

3. The purpose of the Decommissioning Programme is to provide preliminary information on the methods and approaches to how the offshore components will be decommissioned at the end of the operational lifetime of the Project.

4. The Section 105 Notice requires EATL to carry out consultation before submitting the draft Decommissioning Programme to the Secretary of State. This includes carrying out consultation with prescribed bodies and making the proposals publicly available for at least 28 days in order to obtain feedback on the draft Decommissioning Programme.

5. Therefore, in accordance with the Section 105 Notice, the draft Decommissioning Programme will be made publicly available for 28 days from 17th July 2024 on the Project website. The document can be accessed electronically at the following websites:

7. A free digital of the draft Decommissioning Programme can also be obtained from EATL using the contact details below. 7. 8. The Decommissioning Programme will provide a summary table of the comments and actions taken following receipt and consideration of the consultation responses. Please note that any responses received by EATL will be handled in compliance with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation and published with all personal information removed

9. The deadline for the receipt of representations in relation to the Application is 11.59pm, 14th August 2024.
