What is happening?
National Grid Electricity Distribution (South West) Plc Electricity Act 1989
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an application is being made by National Grid Electricity Distribution (South West) Plc to the Secretary of State at the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero under Section 37 of the Electricity Act 1989. Consent is being sought to erect two terminal towers to replace two existing towers to facilitate the partial undergrounding of a 132kV overhead line known as H route at Sherford, Plymouth.
The new terminal towers will be located at grid references:
1. E=254213 N=054251
2. E=256328 N=054470
Plans identifying the proposed new terminal tower designs will be available for public inspection between 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday at the following address:

Alternatively, plans can be viewed using the web link: www.nationalgrid.co.uk/our-network/public-consultationson- overhead-lines-s37-planning-applications or by emailing bdthomas@nationalgrid.co.uk.
Any person wishing to object to the application should send particulars of such an objection using the reference CW52054 - Sherford New Town by email to s37consents@energysecurity.gov.uk, or to the following address: The Secretary of State at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero 7th Floor 3 Whitehall Place London SW1A 2AW
SUCH OBJECTIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 4 weeks from latest publication. Any such objections or representations will be copied to the relevant planning authority and the applicant unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not so be copied.
If there is such a request then the relevant planning authorities and the applicant will only be informed that an objection has been made but no details will be forwarded to them.
