NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH VARIATION ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990: SECTION 257
THE ASHFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL(PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY AE667A (PART) SEVINGTON) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2022 (VARIATION) ORDER 2024
On 1ST May 2024, the Ashford Borough Council confirmed the above Order under sections 257 and 333(7) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
The effect of the Order, as confirmed, is to vary the Ashford Borough Council (Public Bridleway AE667A (part) Sevington) Public Path Diversion Order 2022 as follows:
In part II of the Schedule, referring to the new width of Public Bridleway numbered AE667A, is amended by the deletion of “with a width of 4 metres” to “with a width of 3.5 metres between points A-C and gradually increasing to a width of 3.75 metres between points C and X and increasing to a width of 4 metres between points X-D-B”.
The plan accompanying the 2022 Diversion Order is also substituted with a new plan attached to the 2024 Variation Order.
A copy of the confirmed Order and the Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Ashford Gateway Plus, Church Road, Ashford, Kent, TN23 1AS. The Order has taken effect but if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act, or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to that Act.
NOTICE OF THE INTENTION TO MAKE AN ORDER TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE PUBLIC FOOTPATH AU38 IN ASHFORD

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991
Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath AU38 between Jemmett Road and Scholars Lane from the 03 June 2024
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen 13 July 2024
The path is to be closed because works are planned on or near it.
The alternative route is via Jemmett Road and Scholars Way and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

NOTICE OF THE INTENTION TO MAKE AN ORDER TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY CH29 IN THE PARISH OF HERNE & BROOMFIELD

(PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY CH29)(PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991
Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Bridleway CH29 between Canterbury Road and its junction with Public Bridleway CH28A from the 3 June 2024.
The bridleway will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen by the end of June 2024.
The bridleway is closed because works are planned on and near it.
The alternative route is via Canterbury Road and Public Bridleway CH28A and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

NOTICE OF EXTENSION OF AN ORDER TEMPORARILY CLOSING PUBLIC FOOTPATH EE368 IN THE PARISH OF NORTHBOURNE

(PUBLIC FOOTPATH EE368) (PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991
The Secretary of State for Transport has directed that the Order made by Kent County Council on the 17 November 2023, the effect of which was to prohibit all traffic from Public Footpath EE368 has been extended for a further 12 months, until the 17 May 2025 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
The path is closed between Betteshanger Road and the pumping station.
The alternative route is via the adjacent track and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL(PUBLIC FOOTPATH SD169 (PART), FARNINGHAM) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2023
On 26 April 2024 the Kent County Council confirmed the above Order under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of that Order as confirmed is to divert the entire width of that length of public footpath, which commences at its connection with public footpath SD159 at NGR TQ 5641 6582 (Point A) and runs in a generally west direction for approximately 257 metres to its connections with Gorse Hill at NGR TQ 5615 6582 (Point B). As shown by a bold continuous line between points A-B on the Order plan and to provide a new length of public footpath with a width of 2 metres, which commences at the aforementioned point B and runs in a generally north-east direction for approximately 141 metres to a new connection with public footpath SD159 at NGR TQ 5626 6591 (Point C). As shown by a bold broken line between points B-C on the Order plan.

The Order comes into force on 24 May 2024, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within 6 weeks from the 10 May 2024, make an application to the High Court.

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL(PUBLIC FOOTPATH SR371 (PART), WESTERHAM)PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024
The above-named Order made on the 24th April 2024 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered SR371 which commences at NGR TQ 4327 5045 (Point A on the order plan) and runs in a south-southeasterly direction for 98 metres to NGR TQ 4332 5036 (Point B) and then in a south-easterly direction for 98 metres to NGR TQ 4339 5030 (Point C).As shown by the bold continuous line on the Order plan between Points A-B-C and will add a new length of public footpath numbered SR371, with a width of 4.0 metres, which commences at the aforementioned Point A and will run in an easterly direction for 43 metres to NGR TQ 4332 5045 (Point D) and then in an east-south-easterly direction for approximately 70 metres to NGR TQ 4338 5043 (Point E), continuing in a south-easterly direction for 48 metres to NGR TQ 4342 5039 (Point F) and then running a curve in a southsouth-easterly to south-south-westerly direction for 58 metres to NGR TQ 4342 5034 (Point G) and then in a south-south-westerly direction for 49 metres to the aforementioned Point C.

Please state the grounds on which they are made.
Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential and may come into the public domain. Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate where the case is referred to it for determination.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Kent County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

NOTICE OF EXTENSION OF AN ORDER TEMPORARILY CLOSING PUBLIC FOOTPATHS WC94 AND WC95 IN THE PARISH OF CRANBROOK
IN THE BOROUGH OF TUNBRIDGE WELLS

(PUBLIC FOOTPATHS WC94 AND WC95)(PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991
The Secretary of State for Transport has directed that the Order made by Kent County Council on the 10 November 2023, the effect of which was to prohibit all traffic from Public Footpaths WC94 and WC95 has been extended for a further 7 months, until the 10 December 2024 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
Public Footpath WC94 is closed from the junction with Public Footpath WC95 for a distance of 90m, and Public Footpath WC95 is closed between Public Footpath WC96 and the High Street.
The alternative route is along the southern boundary of the development site and will be signed for the duration of the closure.
