What is happening?
NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925
The Bicknell Plc Retirement Benefits Scheme (“the Scheme”)
Please note the Scheme has been formerly known as: E A Bicknell & Sons Limited Retirement Benefits Scheme.
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 that the Trustees are winding up the Scheme.
This notice is addressed to employees or former employees of Bicknell Holdings Plc, F&B Construction Limited, Rice & Wallis Limited, TS Sharp & Company Limited, Meryt Plant Hire Limited, Zealley Construction Limited, Bicknell Developments Limited, and EA Bicknell & Sons Limited who believe that they were members of the Scheme.
If you are or were an employee of any of the above named companies and believe you are or were a member of the Scheme or you are a widow, widower, child or dependent of such an employee and have not received any correspondence from the Trustees about your potential benefits please contact the Trustees, Dalriada Trustees Limited, Sara Fisher at sara_fisher@dalriadatrustees.co.uk.
Please provide full details of the benefits you believe you are entitled to including your full name, address, date of birth, NI number and details of when you worked for the employer of the Scheme. Please quote the Scheme name in all correspondence.
It is the Trustees’ intention to complete the wind up of the Scheme and secure benefits for members and beneficiaries as soon as possible. If you do not contact the Trustees by 30th June 2024 the Trustees will complete the wind up of the Scheme having regard only to the claims and interests that the Trustees had notice of. The Trustees will not be liable to any other person whose claim the Trustees did not have notice of.
If you already receive a pension from the Scheme or you received a communication from the Trustees about the Trustees’ intention to buyout the benefits you do not need to take any action as we already have details about your entitlement under the Scheme. Similarly, any person who has already made a claim and received a response need not re-apply to the Trustees.
