Notice is hereby given that an Inspector will be appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Afairs to determine
CORNWALL COUNCIL
(Addition of Bridleways Together with the Upgrade of Footpaths to Bridleways & a Restricted Byway at Tregonning Hill in the Parishes of Germoe & Breage) Modifcation Order 2021
&
(Addition of Restricted Byways Together with the Upgrade of Footpaths to Restricted Byways at Tregonning Hill in the Parishes of Germoe and Breage) Modifcation Order 2021
and will attend at:
Praa Sands Community Centre, Pengersick Lane, Praa Sands, Penzance, Cornwall TR20 9RB
On Tuesday 4 June 2024 at 10.00am
To hold a public local inquiry into the Orders
The appointed Inspector will also open the Inquiry as a virtual event on Tuesday 4 June 2024 at 10.00am.
Anyone wishing to attend the inquiry virtually must register that interest with the Council as soon as possible prior
to the Inquiry, but no later than midday on Friday 31 May 2024, either by email or telephone, details of which are set
out in this notice. To take part using video, participants will need to have access to Microsoft Teams (via an app or
web browser). The link https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/ofce/welcome-to-microsoft-teams-b98d533f-118e4bae-bf44-3df2470c2b12 gives further information on how to use this. Alternatively, you can take part by telephone.
Registered participants will receive individual joining instructions, providing details of any requirements, guidance
and support, whether joining by Teams or telephone.
The efect of the Order, if confrmed without modifcations, will be to modify the defnitive map and statement for the
area by:
i) Adding a Public Bridleway in the Parish of Breage from Footpath 76 Breage to be upgraded to Public Bridleway by this Order, 250 metres north-north-east of “Tresowes Hill Farm”, at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SW 6010/2977 then running in a south-south-easterly direction for 81 metres to Footpath 25 Germoe to be upgraded to Public Bridleway by this Order, 209 metres north-east of “Tresowes Hill Farm”, at OSGR SW 6012/2970.
ii) Adding a Public Bridleway in the Parish of Germoe from Footpath 25 Germoe to be upgraded to Public Bridleway by this Order, 332 metres north-north-east of “Nevada House”, at OSGR SW 6043/2936 then running in a south-easterly, then south-south-easterly direction for 45 metres to Footpath 25 Germoe to be upgraded to Public Bridleway by this Order, 345 metres north-north-east of “Nevada House”, at OSGR SW 6045/2932.
iii) Upgrading Footpath 25 in the Parish of Germoe to a Public Bridleway from Classifed Road C162, 54 metres north-west of “Barwest”, at OSGR SW 5963/3000 then running in an east-north-easterly, then south-easterly, then east-south-easterly direction for 462 metres to Footpath 25 Germoe at OSGR SW 6002/2985 then running in an eastsouth-easterly direction for 7 metres to Footpath 76 Breage to be upgraded to Public Bridleway by this Order, 144 metres east of “Stony Acres”, at OSGR SW 6003/2985.
iv) Upgrading Footpath 25 in the Parish of Germoe to a Public Bridleway from Public Bridleway to be added by this Order, 209 metres north-east of “Tresowes Hill Farm”, at OSGR SW 6012/2970 then running in a south-easterly direction for 328 metres to Footpath 36 Breage at OSGR SW 6036/2947 then running in a south-south-easterly direction for 105 metres to Footpath 26 Germoe at OSGR SW 6041/2938 then running in a south-south-easterly direction for 28 metres to Public Bridleway to be added by this Order, 332 metres north-north-east of “Nevada House”, at OSGR SW 6043/2936.
v) Upgrading Footpath 25 in the Parish of Germoe to a Public Bridleway from its junction with Public Bridleway to be added by this Order, 345 metres north-north-east of “Nevada House”, at OSGR SW 6045/2932 then running in a south-south-easterly, then south-south-westerly direction for 193 metres to Footpath 25 Germoe at OSGR SW 6049/2914 then running in a south-westerly direction for 21 metres terminating at Footpath 25 Germoe to be upgraded to Restricted Byway by this Order, 180 metres north-east of “Nevada House”, at OSGR SW 6047/2913.
vi) Upgrading Footpath 25 in the Parish of Germoe to a Restricted Byway from Footpath 25 Germoe to be upgraded to Public Bridleway by this Order, 180 metres north-east of “Nevada House”, at OSGR SW 6047/2913 then running in a westerly, then south-south-westerly direction for 218 metres terminating at Classifed Road C162, 16 metres west of “Nevada House”, at OSGR SW 6034/2899.
vii) Upgrading Footpath 76 in the Parish of Breage to a Public Bridleway from Footpath 25 Germoe to be upgraded to Public Bridleway by this Order, 144 metres east of “Stony Acres”, at OSGR SW 6003/2985, then running in a southsouth-easterly direction for 108 metres to Public Bridleway to be added by this Order, 250 metres north-north-east of “Tresowes Hill Farm”, at OSGR SW 6010/2977.
The efect of the second Order, if confrmed without modifcations, will be to modify the defnitive map and statement
for the area by:
i) Adding a Restricted Byway in the Parish of Germoe from Classifed Road C162, 152 metres west-south-west of “Tresowes Hill Farm”, at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SW 5982/2953 then running in a north-easterly direction for 339 metres to Footpath 76 Breage to be upgraded to Restricted Byway by this Order, 215 metres northnorth-east of “Tresowes Hill Farm”, at OSGR SW 6007/2975.
ii) Adding a Restricted Byway in the Parish of Breage from Footpath 76 Breage to be upgraded to Restricted Byway by this Order, 250 metres north-north-east of “Tresowes Hill Farm”, at OSGR SW 6010/2977 then running in a north-north-easterly, then east-south-easterly & then north-easterly direction for 267 metres to Footpath 36 Breage to be upgraded to Restricted Byway by this Order, 425 metres south-west of “Tregonning Bungalow”, at OSGR SW 6029/2991.
iii) Adding a Restricted Byway in the Parish of Breage from Footpath 36 Breage to be upgraded to Restricted Byway
by this Order, 228 metres south-west of “Tregonning Bungalow”, at OSGR SW 6044/3004 then running in a northeasterly direction for 97 metres terminating at Footpath 35 Breage & Unclassifed Road U6022, 137 metres southwest of “Tregonning Bungalow”, at OSGR SW 6051/3011.
iv) Upgrading Footpath 76 in the Parish of Breage to a Restricted Byway from Restricted Byway to be added by this Order, 215 metres north-north-east of “Tresowes Hill Farm”, at OSGR SW 6007/2975 then running in a north-easterly direction for 40 metres to Restricted Byway to be added by this Order, 250 metres north-north-east of “Tresowes Hill Farm”, at OSGR SW 6010/2977.
v) Upgrading Footpath 36 in the Parish of Breage to a Restricted Byway from Restricted Byway to be added by this Order, 425 metres south-west of “Tregonning Bungalow”, at OSGR SW 6029/2991 then running in a north-easterly direction for 200 metres to its junction with Restricted Byway to be added by this Order, 228 metres south-west of “Tregonning Bungalow”, at OSGR SW 6044/3004.
