What is happening?
LONDON BOROUGH OF TOWER HAMLETS
Notice is hereby given that the London borough of Tower Hamlets has set its Council Tax at the following amounts for the financial year 1 st April 2024 to 31st March 2025.
Band A £1,117.01
Band B £1,303.17
Band C £1,489.34
Band D £1,675.51
Band E £2,047.85
Band F £2,420.18
Band G £2,792.52
Band H £3,351.02
From 1 st April 2024 full charge will be payable on empty unfurnished properties.
The unoccupied property premiums charged on properties that have been empty for over one year will be: -
1 to 4 Years 200% Charge
5 to 9 Years 300% Charge
10 Years or More 400% Charge
From 1st April 2025 the Council give notice that they will charge the 100% Premium, on Second Homes (furnished).
