What is happening?

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 30(2) of the Local Government Finance Act 1992, as amended, that on 22 February 2024 The Kingston Upon Hull City Council set the following amounts of Council Tax for the year 2024/25 for each of the categories of dwelling shown below:

Band A £ 1,385.81 - Band E £ 2,540.66

Band B £ 1,616.80 - Band F £ 3,002.61

Band C £ 1,847.76 - Band G £ 3,464.54

Band D £ 2,078.73 - Band H £ 4,157.46

Notice is given following the passing of legislation that from the 1st April 2024 the additional 100% Council Tax premium chargeable to owners of empty and unfurnished properties will be payable after 1 year. This timescale was previously set at 2 years.

Notice is given following the passing of legislation of the intention to charge an additional 100% Council Tax premium to the owners of 2nd homes from the 1st April 2025.
