What is happening?

Council Tax 2024/25

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council, in accordance with Sections 30 and 36 of the Local Government Finance Act 1992, has set the following Council Tax for each of the categories of dwellings shown below for the year commencing Monday 1 April 2024.

The amounts attributable to each of the Council tax valuation bands are as follows:

A minus - £1,291.36

A - £1,549.63

B - £1,807.91

C - £2,066.19

D - £2,324.46

E - £2,841.00

F - £3,357.55

G - £3,874.09

H - £4,648.92

Salford City Council is declaring the decision to bring forward the date an empty homes premium is applicable for a long-term empty property to one year from Monday 1 April 2024 and the intention to implement a council tax premium in 2025/26 for second homes.
