NOTICE OF PUBLIC INQUIRY
Application to correct mistaken registration
Registered Common Land Unit No. CL333
14.572 hectares of land at Nance & Illogan Wood, Portreath, Cornwall
The Cornwall Council, as commons registration authority in relation to the land
referred to above, has decided that a public inquiry is to be held in relation to
Application 2994 pursuant to Part 3 of The Commons Registration (England)
Regulations 2014.
The Cornwall Council has instructed an inspector to hold a public inquiry, which
will be open to members of the public, for the purpose of hearing evidence and
representations about the application and to prepare a report to the Council providing
a recommendation as to whether the application should be approved or refused.
Anyone can attend the inquiry.
Date of Inquiry: Monday 25th March 2024.
Time of meeting: Starting at 10.00am
Venue of meeting: Pool Innovation Centre, Trevenson Road,
Pool, Redruth TR15 3PL
The time estimate for the inquiry is 4 days but it may conclude within a shorter time.

NB: The main issue to be considered that the inquiry is whether the relevant land
was wrongly registered as common land. Further details about the issues to be
considered and the procedure to be followed at the inquiry can be found within the
directions issued on 27 November 2023.
