Publication of the Members’ Allowances Scheme 2024/2025:
Local Authorities (Members’ Allowances) (England) Regulations 2003
Having regard to the recommendations of the Independent Remuneration Panel, which can be found here (Appendix 1 - IRP report for 24-25 year.pdf (gedling.gov.uk)), the Members’ Allowances Scheme has been amended and agreed to take effect between 1 April 2024 and 31 March 2025.
The changes include some additional ad hoc allowances for Chairs and Vice-Chairs of committees and allows for an annual indexation based on the Chief Officer local authority pay award on both basic and special responsibility allowances for a period of four years.
The scheme allows for parental leave, dependent carer’s allowance, travel and subsistence on approved duties within the borough, as well as a basic allowance of £4,831.39 and special allowances as detailed in the Members Allowances Scheme 2024/25:

Hard copies of the scheme and copies of a record kept in accordance with regulation 15(1) and (2) are available at the below office for inspection by members of the public during opening hours.
