What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF HAVERING

Notice under the Local Government Act 1972

Section 123 (2A) (As Amended)

Land compromising part of King George's Playing Fields, Eastern Avenue West, Romford ("the Land")

1. The Land is part of the King George's Playing Fields, Romford and is held by the London Borough of Havering ("the Council").

2. NOTICE is hereby given for the first time pursuant to Section 123 (2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 that the Council intends to grant a lease of the Land for a term until 25th September 2042.

3. A plan showing the Land is available for inspection on the Council's Notice Board located outside its offices at London Borough of Havering, Town Hall, Main Road, Romford, RM1 3BD.

4. Any objection or representation in respect of the disposal of the Land must be in writing to the London Borough of Havering's legal team at: OneSource Legal Services, Newham Dockside 3rd Floor East, 1000 Dockside Road, London E16 2QU quoting reference AG/HAV033971 and must be received no later than 4.00pm on 26th January 2024.
