NOMINATIONS OF CANDIDATES
FOR 2024 HARBOUR
COMMISSIONERS' ELECTIONS
It is anticipated that any 2024 Padstow Harbour
Commissioner Elections will take place on Saturday 9th
March 2024.
There will be one vacancy for the Padstow area (parishes
of Padstow and St Issey, retiring Commissioner Mr P
O'Neill), one vacancy for the St Minver Area (parishes
of St Minver Highlands and St Minver Lowlands, retiring
Commissioner Mr J Hewitt) and one vacancy for the
Wadebridge Area (parishes of Egloshayle, St Breock and
Wadebridge, retiring Commissioner Mr W Delacour).
Retiring Commissioners may stand for re-election
providing that they meet the criteria below. The successful
candidates will serve for three years.
Nominations are now invited for candidates wishing to
stand for election as a Harbour Commissioner. Candidates
must appear on the current Register of Parliamentary
Electors for the area in which they stand for election.
Each candidate must be nominated and seconded by
other persons who appear in the current Register of
Parliamentary Electors for the area in which the candidate
is standing. Each nomination must be supported with a
signed statement by the candidate that he/she is willing to
be nominated for election as a Commissioner.
NOMINATIONS, SECONDINGS AND STATEMENTS OF
WILLINGNESS TO SERVE MUST BE DELIVERED TO
THE HARBOUR OFFICE ON OR BEFORE THE CLOSING
DATE WHICH IS 12 NOON,
WEDNESDAY 14th FEBRUARY 2024.
