What is happening?

CITY OF INVERNESS AND AREA
RIVER NESS FREE DAY FISHINGS 2024

Applications are invited for Free Day fishing permits for the 2024 season. Application forms can be obtained by telephone 01463 785100 during normal business hours from Friday, 24 November 2023. The number of permits will be
restricted to 100. On completion, application forms should be returned to the secretary of Inverness Angling Club no later than Friday, 15 December 2023. In the event of there being more than 100 applications, the council will arrange for a ballot to select the permit holders. Thereafter, successful applicants will be advised and issued with a permit.

Applications can only be entertained from persons resident within the traditional Burgh of Inverness. It should be noted that any person who held a permit for the 2023 season and failed to complete the required return of catches, including nil return, by October 20 2023, will not be considered eligible for the issue of a permit to fish in the 2024 season. Any person fishing without a duly authorised permit is liable to prosecution.
