TRANSFERRING TO SECONDARY SCHOOL SEPTEMBER 2024 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

All Trafford residents must apply to Trafford to transfer to any state funded secondary school or academy, regardless of where that school or academy is. The closing date for applications is 31 October 2023.

If your child does not attend a Trafford maintained primary school or academy, you must still make your application to Trafford.

Applications should be submitted online at:
https://www.trafford.gov.uk/residents/schools/school-admissions/Secondary/secondaryschool-admissions.aspx

It is important that you apply on time because any application received after 31 October 2023 will only be considered after all other on time applications have been allocated and it may be the case that all the places at the school/s of your choice will have been allocated to on time applicants.

If you are not a Trafford resident but your child attends a Trafford primary school, you must contact your home authority and request their application form.

If you require further help or information, please email school.admissions@trafford.gov.uk or telephone 0161 912 5007.
