Changes to time-banded recycling and waste collections - London Borough of Merton
Notice is hereby given that The London Borough of Merton has used powers available to it under the London Local Authorities Act 2007 to make changes to time-banded collections of household recycling and waste from designated properties in the borough. Time-banding restricts the times and manner that recycling and waste can be left on public footways in readiness for collection. It applies mainly to residents living in flats above shops and properties that do not have sufficient external space to store bins.
The new time restrictions come into effect from week commencing 6 March 2023. Under the new arrangements, the borough has been split into two 'Zones':
Zone | Recycling and waste collection times |
Zone 1 - east of the borough including Wimbledon, Mitcham and Colliers Wood |
|
Zone 2 - west of the borough including Raynes Park, Ravensbury and Morden |
|
