Notice of proposed changes In fees for vehicle and operator licences in accordance with section 70 Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976
South Oxfordshire District Council proposes to amend the charges for hackney carriage and private hire vehicles and private hire operator licences as follows:
VEHICLE LICENCES
Hackney carriage - zero emission
or wheelchair accessible vehicle £97.65
Hackney carriage - all other vehicles £346.50 Private hire vehicle - zero emission
or wheelchair accessible vehicle £97.65
Private hire vehicle - all other vehicles £242.55
Private hire plate exemption (operator of 1-2 vehicles) £168 Private hire plate exemption (operator of 3-4 vehicles) £128.10
Private hire plate exemption (operator of 5-9 vehicles) £97.65 Private hire plate exemption
(operator of 10 vehicles and over) £92.40
Transfer of licence £69.30
Change of vehicle £94.50
Replacement plate £48.30
Replacement paper licence £43.05
Miscellaneous admin fee £40.95
PRIVATE HIRE OPERATOR LICENCES

Replacement paper licence £43.05
Miscellaneous admin fee £40.95
Any objections to the proposed fees should be sent in writing to the Head of Legal and Democratic, South Oxfordshire District Council, Abbey House, Abbey Close, Abingdon, OX14 3JE or emailed to licensing@southoxon.gov.uk by 14 April 2023. A copy of this notice has been deposited at the council offices and is available for inspection during office hours until 14 April 2023.
If no objection is made by the date specified above, or if objections so made are withdrawn the proposed amendments shall come into operation on Monday 17 April 2023 or the date of withdrawal of the objection or, if more than one, of the last objection, whichever date is the later.
If any objections are made, the council will consider these objections and if deemed appropriate any amendments in the fees will come into force on a date to be determined by the council, which shall be no later than Friday 16 June 2023. Patrick Arran,
